Xiaomi Mi A2 Appears Online With Pricing & Release Date

The Xiaomi Mi A2 has just appeared in Switzerland, and its price tag was seemingly revealed by this listing. The Xiaomi Mi A2 surfaced on Digitec, Switzerland’s largest online storage, and according to this listing, the Mi A2 will arrive in three different variants, while an image of the device has also been included with the listing, though that image seems to show the Mi 6X, not the Mi A2. The Mi 6X and Mi A2 will be basically identical one to the other, as was the case with the Mi 5X and Mi A1, but the image that Digitec used shows some Chinese writing on the lockscreen, and it uses the Mi 6X’s wallpaper, so we’re rather certain this is the Mi 6X placeholder image, rather than the Mi A2.

In any case, as many of you know, the Mi A2 will be an Android One smartphone, Xiaomi’s second Android One device. The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants, according to Digitec, and the phone will ship out in Black, Blue, and Gold color variants. A 32GB storage variant of the Mi A2 is listed for CHF290 ($292) on Digitec, while its 64GB storage model is priced at CHF329 ($331). It is worth noting that those two models come with 4GB of RAM, while Digitec claims that a 128GB storage variant will include 6GB of RAM and cost CHF370 ($373). Digitec also claims that the Mi A2 will go on sale on August 8, which could mean that Xiaomi plans to announce it next month, in July. In comparison, the Xiaomi Mi A1 was announced back in September last year, so the Mi A2 could drop sooner than expected. In case you’re wondering, the Mi 6X arrived back in April.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be made out of metal, it will include a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a vertically-aligned dual camera setup. The device will sport rather thin bezels, while its specs will be identical to the Mi 6X’s specs, quite probably. The device will include a 5.99-inch fullHD+ display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of non-expandable storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel the phone, while 12 and 20-megapixel cameras will sit on the back of the phone. A 20-megapixel camera will be included on the front side of the phone, while a 3,010mAh battery will be a part of the package as well.
