The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 flagship is expected to arrive later this year, and while we're waiting for rumors and leaks to start popping up, the concept Mi MIX 3 handset has surfaced on YouTube. This concept design has been published by the 'Science and Knowledge' YouTube channel, and the design itself is quite interesting, actually. Before we begin talking about it, however, it's worth noting that Xiaomi introduced three Mi MIX-branded devices thus far, the Mi MIX, Mi MIX 2, and the Mi MIX 2S which landed earlier this year.
This imaginary Mi MIX 3 handset is made out of metal and ceramic, and its back side is curved quite a bit, actually. The device's frame comes with chamfered edges, while a Type-C USB port is included on the bottom of the phone. Xiaomi's logo can be found on the back, and it's quite pronounced thanks to a ceramic strip that goes over it, while vertically-aligned cameras are included in the upper portion of the phone's back side. Bezels are not included on this phone (save for the frame itself,), and the display sports rounded corners. The designer opted to include three cameras on the back of this phone, while he also envisioned some specs for this Mi MIX 3 concept. This concept phone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, while it sports a 6-inch 2960 x 1440 IPS LCD display. Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 protection is included on top of the display, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone, along with Xiaomi's MIUI 10 skin.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this phone, while the device comes with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of storage. There are three cameras on the back, and the largest sensor is a 40-megapixel one, while a dual-LED, dual-tone flash is also included. A 23-megapixel camera is included on the front, though it's tucked away inside of the phone, it's a pop-up camera, similar to the one on the Vivo NEX. A 3.5mm headphone jack is a part of the offering as well, as is a 3,400mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 4 fast charging. If you'd like to check out the concept video, it is embedded down below.
