Motorola began pre-orders for the Moto Z3 Play today, its newest smartphone that is part of the Moto Z lineup. The Moto Z3 Play is available for pre-order at B&H Photo and Motorola.com as well as Amazon - however Amazon has it as a "Prime Exclusive" smartphone, so it's slightly different and $50 cheaper. The Moto Z3 Play will cost you $499, and it does come with the Moto Power Pack included for free, which is a 2,000mAh capacity battery pack that is a Moto Mod. Making it easier than ever to recharge your device while on the go.
The Moto Z3 Play is the next iteration of Motorola's somewhat high-end smartphone that has incredible battery life. Now while it does still sport the same 3,000mAh capacity battery as the previous two smartphones, the battery life should be even better. This is because of the chipset that Motorola is using here, which is the Snapdragon 636. The Snapdragon 600-series is known for being a battery sipper while still providing great performance. With the inclusion of the Moto Power Pack in the box, however, customers will likely never need to worry about battery life on the Moto Z3 Play, which is definitely a good thing here. Of course, all of the existing Moto Mods do work with the Moto Z3 Play, so if you had the JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod or the Pico Projector, those will also work on this device.
Customers can pre-order the Moto Z3 Play today for $499 (or $449 at Amazon if you're a Prime member), and it should ship next week. According to Motorola, the device will be launching next Friday, June 29. There aren't any other promotions going on for the Moto Z3 Play right now, but every purchase does come with the Moto Power Pack which is definitely a nice gesture on Motorola's part.
