LineageOS 15.1 Available For OnePlus One, OPPO FInd 7 & More

If you’re a fan of LineageOS and own the OnePlus One, Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus (+Galaxy S5 LTE-A), OPPO Find 7 or the OPPO Find 7A, you’ll be glad to know that official support for LineageOS 15.1 has just been added. You can download LineageOS 15.1 for either of the three aforementioned devices from the links provided down below, and as most of you probably already know, LineageOS 15.1 is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

LineageOS adds a ton of customization to stock Android, as did CyanogenMod, and in order to install LineageOS to your device, you’ll need to unlock your bootloader. After you do that, you’ll need to flash a custom recovery, such as TWRP. If you need more info regarding all this, feel free to consult this link for detailed instructions provided by the LineageOS team. Having said that, LineageOS announced that the OnePlus One is one of the most popular devices for flashing LineageOS, as 63,472 OnePlus One devices are running LineageOS as of now (at the time of writing this article). Both the Galaxy S5 Plus and the OPPO Find 7 are also quite popular when it comes to LineageOS, which is probably why LineageOS team decided to be rather quick when it comes to sharing stable LineageOS 15.1 build for those devices.

As already mentioned, LineageOS 15.1 adds plenty of customization on top of Android, and to be more specific, we’ll mention some of the changes that you can expect. In LineageOS 15.1, you can choose between custom charging sounds, while you can also unlink ringtone and notification volumes. Touchscreen gestures when the screen is off are also a part of the build, while performance profiles are also at your disposal. LineageOS team also included a bunch of lockscreen customization options in this build, while ambient display is included as well. You’re also getting a bunch of status bar-related options, while you can mess around with UI accent colors. Built-in weather provider settings are a part of LineageOS 15.1 as well, while a ton of security features have been included in this build as well. These are only some changes included in LineageOS 15.1, and if you’d like to find out more, click here.
