Deal: Samsung Gear Sport Smartwatch for $229 - June 2018

Amazon currently has the Samsung Gear Sport available for $229. That is good for $70 off of its regular price. Now that does not bring it down to its all-time lowest price here, but it is the lowest since late last year. So if you've been eyeing the Gear Sport for a while, now is definitely the time to pick one up.

The Samsung Gear Sport is Samsung's smartwatch that is geared more towards fitness but it does still have plenty of smartwatch features included here. The Gear Sport is able to do all of the usual fitness tracking stuff, including tracking your activity, your workouts, calories burned, and your sleeping. But it also has the ability to track your swimming, thanks to it being waterproof. So you can use this for tracking your swimming during the summer, which is really nice. There is also a heart rate monitor included here, which will see how far you are pushing yourself in your workouts. Finally, on the smartwatch side of things, there are a slew of great apps available, like Uber, Facebook, Twitter and much more. All of the apps that are available for the Gear S3, also work on the Gear Sport, since it is the same platform. The Gear Sport will work with any Android device running on Android 4.4 or later, as well as iPhones running on iOS 7.0 or later.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $119/year (or $49/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
