Vogue India has released its new cover for the May edition of its magazine, and it features a rather popular Bollywood actress, Aditi Rao Hydari. Interestingly enough, the cover of this magazine was captured using the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone, and it was captured by fashion and portrait photographer, Errikos Andreou. Now, this cover is supposed to show consumers in India "how awesome the camera quality is ", according to the provided info.

This is the first time a Vogue cover has been captured using a smartphone, and a very first time someone did it in India for basically any magazine cover. The image that was shot using the OnePlus 6 has clearly been edited, as is any other image before it ends up on a cover of a magazine, but still, you need a really compelling image in order to edit it and then launch it for something like this, and this image does seem quite compelling. There's plenty of detail here, colors are spot on, and everything looks as it should. It's worth saying that this image was captured in a studio environment, using professional lighting, though., so keep that in mind. The cover of the magazine popped up on Vogue India's official Instagram page, in case you were wondering. Errikos Andreou, a photographer who captured the image, said that the OnePlus 6 is "all about convenience and portability", while he also added that the phone's "pro" mode lets you shoot pictures in "RAW" format, as was the case with the OnePlus 5T, and that is the mode he used for the cover of Vogue India, as it's the best format to capture an image in if you're planning to edit it later on.

The OnePlus 6 will be announced globally on May 16, while it will launch in India a day later, along with a limited edition Marvel's Avengers variant of the phone. The OnePlus 6 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, while the phone will be made out of metal and glass. A display notch will be a part of the package, while the device's most powerful variant will ship with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
