UMIDIGI has decided to disassemble its new UMIDIGI Z2 (Pro) flagship in a video. In fact, the company disassembled only one of the two phones, but they are extremely similar in terms of specs and sport the same design, which is why both of them are listed in the title of that video. The video itself is embedded down below, for those of you who are interested, and it should give you a better idea as to what hides on the inside of the UMIDIGI Z2, and what to expect if you ever need to repair it or something of the sort.
Both of these phones are made out of metal and glass, while both of them sport really thin bezels and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. A dual camera setup is included on the back of both devices, while a display notch is also a part of the offering. Now, in order to begin the teardown process, you will need a suction cup in order to remove the phone's back cover, while you do that, be careful not to break the fingerprint scanner ribbon which is attached to the back side of both devices, you will need to detach it. Once you've removed the back cover, you can start removing screws that are holding the phone's internals in place, starting with the ones around the phone's fingerprint scanner and rear-facing cameras, which will allow you to remove that metallic backplate, and gain access to the rest of its internals. Once you remove that backplate, you will be able to detach the phone's NFC / wireless charging strip, its battery, and remove camera lenses. From that point on, pretty much all internals will be in your sight, though you'll have to perform some additional steps to reach the phone's display, all of which is shown in the provided video down below.
Both the UMIDIGI Z2 and Z2 Pro feature a 6.2-inch fullHD+ display, and both of them ship with 6GB of RAM on the inside. Now, the UMIDIGI Z2 comes with 64GB of storage, while UMIDIGI included 128GB of storage in the Z2 Pro variant. The Helio P23 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels the UMIDIGI Z2, while the Helio P60 64-bit octa-core fuels the UMIDIGI Z2 Pro. Both devices ship with quad camera setup, they sport 16 and 8-megapixel cameras on both its back and front sides, while the face unlock feature is included on both devices as well. The UMIDIGI Z2 Pro, unlike the regular Z2 model, comes with wireless charging, though. Both phones sport global 4G LTE bands, while both of them come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Both of these phones will be available for purchase soon.
