The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star has just surfaced in image and video. This phone will sport the same design as the Galaxy A9 Star Lite it seems, and both devices may become official at the same time, actually. The Samsung SM-G8850 got certified by TENAA in China last month, and it was rumored to arrive as the Galaxy A8 Star, but it seems like Samsung will release it as the Galaxy A9 Star after all, at least according to the new info that surfaced.
Now, if you take a look at the provided images and video, you will notice that this phone will be made out of metal and glass, it will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup on the back. The device will include a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, where you’ll find a Type-C USB port and a loudspeaker. The power / lock key will be placed on the right-hand side of this phone, while its volume rocker and Bixby buttons will sit on the left. The Black and White Galaxy A9 Star is shown in one of the images down below, and thanks to TENAA and leaks, we know what to expect out of both the Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite. These two devices are not only expected to sport the same exterior, but almost the same specs as well, the only difference between the two will lie in their SoCs, if the provided info is accurate. The Galaxy A9 Star will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC, while the Galaxy A9 Star Lite will ship with the Snapdragon 450 64-bit octa-core chip.
If the provided info is accurate, the Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite will both sport a 6.28-inch fullHD+ (2220 x 1080) ) Super AMOLED Infinity display, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card).
