Deal: AUKEY Car Charger With USB-C PD for $15 w/ Code - 5/17/18

AUKEY has discounted its fairly new, and popular, car charger. This one has USB-C PD as well as a standard USB-A port that does 2.4A. It is priced at $14.99 when you use the promo code AUKEYCY7 at checkout. That's down from its current price of $19.99. That's good for $5 off of this charger, which isn't too shabby.

This car charger from AUKEY has two USB ports. There's a USB-C port that does Power Delivery (also known as USB-C PD), and it is able to output up to 27W. That is enough to charge a laptop, or a Nintendo Switch, so you could really get some work done while in the car. Now that is a pretty cool feature. Now, even though it can do up to 27W, it will output less if you have a smartphone plugged in, as the port is able to detect what is plugged in and only give it the power it needs. The second port is a USB-A port that can do up to 2.4A, and has AUKEY's own AiPOWER technology here, which is similar to Quick Charge 2.0, but it's not branded the same - and works with virtually any smartphone. So no matter what smartphone you have, you can quickly charge up your smartphone while you're stuck in the car. Definitely a good thing here.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $99/year (or $49/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
