Deal: Amazon Echo Dot For $39, Echo (2nd Generation) For $85 - May 2018

Amazon has discounted two of its most popular Echo devices, the Echo Dot and Echo second generation, bringing them down to $39.99 and $84.99 respectively. This brings both models back down to their lowest prices all-time. Which is pretty impressive, and makes it a great time to pick up the Echo or Echo Dot.

For the most part, both of these Echo's are the same, though the Echo second generation has a better internal speaker. But the Echo Dot and Echo second generation both have Alexa inside, and allows you to go ahead and ask Alexa for the weather, traffic conditions, turning on lights in your home and so much more. The Echo Dot is a much smaller Echo, with a pretty small speaker inside. Though you do have the ability to actually connect an external speaker to it, whether that is via Bluetooth or a wired connection. Which makes it a great way to make your existing speakers, smarter. The Echo second generation has a pretty good speaker built-in, and in fact, the audio is tuned by Dolby, so you are going to get a great experience here. Both of these are on sale today through the end of the month. These prices don't show up that often, so you definitely want to take advantage of them before they go back to their regular prices.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $99/year (or $49/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
