The Global Sources Consumer Electronics trade show has been taking place this week in Hong Kong and this is a notable event as it is where a number of Asian companies come to promote their current and upcoming products. This year's event is understood to include around 6,600 booths and so there is plenty to see, including products from some of the newer companies. One of those companies in attendance at the event for the first time is KOOLNEE and it seems the newer smartphone-maker has been showcasing a new smartphone which is currently being referred to as the KOOLNEE K7.
At present the KOOLNEE K7 is currently an unknown smartphone as not only has the K7 yet to be announced by the company, but virtually no information had come through on this smartphone prior to the event. However, the early impressions seem positive with the K7 said to have gaining positive attention at the event by attendees. Based on the limited information available, it would seem as though the K7 is going to be positioned as a flagship smartphone and one which will focus a lot on its design. For example, the KOOLNEE K7 will come with an unusual coating as well as following in the traditional of a number of 2018 smartphones thanks to the inclusion of a notch. Though finer details including the main specs and features currently remain unknown. As does the likely announcement or release date for the K7.
For those in the market for a new smartphone right now, KOOLNEE has been running a promotion on one of its current models, the KOOLNEE K1, for the last week. This is an already affordable smartphone although the current deal sees another $30 taken off the price. Meaning the K1 can currently be picked up for only $139. For that price, buyers can expect a 6.01-inch display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution. As well as 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a MediaTek 6750T octa-core processor, a dual rear camera setup, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,190 mAh capacity battery, microSD support, Android 7.0 (Nougat) and more. However, this price cut is due to expire soon with today the last day to take advantage of the deal.
