Reports Of An Active Shooter At YouTube's San Bruno Office

According to multiple YouTube employees and police, there is an active shooter at YouTube's San Bruno office right now. YouTube's main office is located in San Bruno, not far from Google's headquarters in Mountain View. Currently, there is very little known about the active shooter at YouTube's office right now, but employees are sheltering in place right now. Police in San Bruno have issued a warning to bystanders to stay away from the area right now.

An active shooting scene is something that has become all to common in the US as of late, although, since this is taking place at YouTube instead of a school, it's likely going to gain more attention than some other active shooting scenes in recent memory. It's also pretty likely that there are some cameras rolling to see what's going on during this scene, since this is the YouTube headquarters. Police likely won't be mentioning anything about the event anytime soon. As the police will need to get it under control then investigate what happened here, to make sure it doesn't happen again - and that there are no more threats. But hopefully no one will be hurt, and of course, those that are in the area, stay away from the scene. YouTube's Vadim Lavrusik stated on Twitter that the building has been evacuated and that everyone is now safe. According to a Walmart employee (Walmart's headquarters is next to YouTube), there was a burst of around 15 shots in about 30 seconds. And there is also a body bag on site right now, so it looks like there has been at least one casualty right now. San Bruno police do say that they don't have a person of interest right now, but will be posting updates via its social media channels.

The YouTube headquarters is home to about 1,100 employees, according to Alphabet - YouTube's parent company. This is the largest concentration of YouTube employees, as expected, since it is their headquarters. This also happened just as many were coming back from a lunch break. It's a pretty busy area in San Bruno, so if you are near that area, stay away.
