OnePlus has just announced that the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition OnePlus 6 will be announced in India on May 17, along with a regular variant of the device. The company confirmed that via an official teaser video which has been published on YouTube, and in addition to announcing the release date for the phone, some design elements of the device were also shared by the company.

If you check out the video that has been embedded down below, you will be able to see that the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition OnePlus 6 will ship with a rather interesting texture on the back, which will differentiate it from other OnePlus 6 models. The front side of the device is also featured in the provided video, though it doesn't really reveal much, if previously-released limited edition variant of OnePlus-branded devices are any indication as to what we should expect, then the changes will be made on the back of the device, and maybe on its sides, the display will remain unchanged in every way. OnePlus had actually announced its partnership with Marvel quite recently, and it seems like India will be the first country to get this special edition handset. OnePlus may launch it in some additional markets, but its availability will be quite limited, as it is even possible that it remains exclusive to India. The device will be exclusive to Amazon India, same as the regular variant of the OnePlus 6.

The OnePlus 6 will be announced globally on May 16, a day before it lands in India. OnePlus had already confirmed that the phone will ship with a glass back, at least its regular variant will, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor. The company also confirmed that the phone will sport a display notch, and navigation gestures as well. The OnePlus 6 will be the first OnePlus-branded smartphone to ship with some sort of an IP rating for water and dust resistance, while the phone will sport a 'Designed by OnePlus' engraving on the back as well. The phone will sport a larger display than the OnePlus 5T, it will probably ship with a 6.28-inch panel, though it will retain OnePlus 5T's physical footprint due to thinner bezels and a different aspect ratio (19:9 compared to 18:9).
