It seems like Motorola will announce its Moto G6 series of smartphones on April 19. The company has seemingly started sending out invites for the April 19 event, as an invite surfaced in Brazil. The press conference venue will be in Sao Paulo, if the leaked invite is to be believed, and it will start at 10AM (local time). Now, it is possible that this is just a local event, and that a global announcement will occur sooner than that, but it's also possible that Motorola is planning to announce the Moto G6 series in Brazil, as its main announcement, as the company has quite a huge userbase over there.
Having said that, Motorola is expected to introduce three Moto G6 smartphones during that press event, the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and the Moto G6 Plus. All three of these devices have surfaced in the last couple of weeks in one form or the other, while we've had a couple of exclusives when it comes to the Moto G6-branded devices. Having said that, all three Moto G6 smartphones will sport similar designs, though there will be some differences. The Moto G6, for example, will sport a front-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup on the back, while the Moto G6 Play will come with a single camera on its back, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. We're still not sure whether the Moto G6 Plus will ship with a front-facing or a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, but the phone's design will resemble the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play quite a bit, while the device will ship with two cameras on its back. The phone is expected to sport a 5.93-inch fullHD+ display, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, while it will probably ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
The Moto G6 will sport a 5.7-inch fullHD+ 'Max Vision' display, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 450 64-bit octa-core processor. The phone will include an 8-megapixel snapper on its front side, while it will be splash resistant. A 3,000mAh non-removable battery will also be included in this package, and its fingerprint scanner will be 'feature-rich'. The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, will also sport a 5.7-inch 'Max Vision' display, though we're looking at an HD+ resolution here. The Snapdragon 427 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel the device, while a 13-megapixel snapper will be included on its back. A 5-megapixel snapper will sit on the front side of the Moto G6 Play, while the device will ship with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery. The Moto G6 and G6 Play spec details were acquired by a trusted source, though we're still not sure whether the Moto G6 Plus info is accurate or not, so keep that in mind.
