Exclusive: First Look At The LG Stylo 4 Android Smartphone

Here's a first look at the LG Stylo 4 Android smartphone.

After exclusively sharing an official render of the LG G7 ThinQ, providing comprehensive details on the LG G7's features, and confirming LG is working on the release of the LG V35 ThinQ, AndroidHeadlines can now confirm another LG smartphone on the way is a new addition to the company's ‘Stylo’ series of phones. This is the LG Stylo 4.

At present the details on this upcoming LG phone are pretty limited although the image shared with us by a reliable source does show this to be a Cricket Wireless variant of the Stylo 4. This is not to say the Stylo 4 will be an exclusive to Cricket as prior history of the Stylo line does suggest this LG phone will become available through other carriers as well. Although it may come to those other carriers branded differently to Stylo 4. Not only has this been the case with previous Stylo models, but also when the device is released outside of North America - where it is typically known as the Stylus line.

While there are no firm details on the specs and features AndroidHeadlines is of the understanding there are not going to be any major bumps in these departments and instead the Stylo 4 is expected to naturally follow on from the previous model(s). For reference, the LG Stylo 3 features a 5.7-inch display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,200 mAh battery, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, and Android 7.0 (Nougat). Therefore, the Stylo 4 will continue the line's emphasis on being a mid-range option. Although compared to previous models the mid-range aspect will likely be more of a selling point than before with LG expected to highlight how consumers can opt for a mid-range smartphone with minimal bezels. As the image does highlight significantly smaller bezels compared to the Stylo 3 and most notably on the bottom portion of the phone. Which also suggests an 18:9 aspect ratio could be in effect although there is no confirmation on this point, yet. In either case, as this is a Stylo-branded phone it would seem almost a given a stylus will be included.
