Deal: Nest Thermostat E for $109 - 4/18/18

Woot is currently offering up the Nest Thermostat E for just $109. That brings the price down from $169, and also brings it to its lowest price ever. Making this a great time to pick up the Nest Thermostat E.

The Nest Thermostat E was announced last year by the company, as a "cheaper" alternative to its Learning Thermostat that usually retails for around $250. But it still has the majority of the features from the more expensive thermostat. This one is white, so it doesn't have a color display like the Learning Thermostat, but it still looks really nice. Of course, you can also control it from your smartphone using the Nest app. So you can adjust the temperature in your home, and have it lower when you're away to save some energy. Nest does work with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant, which is definitely a nice feature. This is because you'll be able to use your voice to adjust the thermostat. So you can say something like "OK Google, set temperature to 67 degrees" without even lifting a finger. That's a pretty neat feature, especially for older people like your parents or grandparents.

This is being sold at Woot, which is a division of Amazon, but you don't get free two-day shipping if you are an Amazon Prime member. However, Prime members do get free shipping, otherwise, it'll cost you $5. Now there is a simple way to get around that. Simply sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime and you'll get free shipping through Woot. Just remember to cancel the trial before the 30 days are up - or you can convert to a paid member if you like the service. Woot says that this is available in either two-day or standard shipping. With two day shipping, it will arrive around April 25th (which isn't really two days, but a week from now).
