Vodafone Spain’s latest monthly catalog appears to have accidentally listed the Huawei P20 Lite. Huawei has made no secret of its plans to launch its P20 lineup on March 27, but Vodafone’s Spanish division seems to have jumped the gun by including the device in its latest offers catalog, revealing a number of its specs and its expected launch price.
Looking at the catalog listing, the device’s large display sits at 5.84-inches in size and features a Full-HD+ resolution. On the inside, an octa-core processor is included, with four cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four secondary cores clocked at 1.7GHz. These details match up with the HiSilicon Kirin 659 which has previously been reported as being inside. Furthermore, coupled with the processor is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Moving on to the camera, recent information posted by Roland Quandt appears to be confirmed, with the main rear sensor being a 16-megapixel affair. Also, working alongside this is a secondary 2-megapixel lens that is expected to improve bokeh effect results, while in the selfie department, a front-facing 16-megapixel sensor has been fitted. Now, it’s worth pointing out that the image associated with the device is not the Huawei P20 Lite. In fact, the image shows off the rear of the company’s recently-launched P Smart, which acts as the company’s latest budget alternative. In either case, though Vodafone also lists the P20 Lite as including a large 3000mAh battery to keep the lights on, while the software is listed as being Android 8.0 Oreo.
It’s clear that the spec sheet boasted by the P20 Lite is pretty similar to the company’s more recent Mate 10 Lite. In fact, both devices look set to include the exact same camera setup and processor, while the RAM and storage setups are also listed as being identical. The only notable difference is the smaller battery size, which is likely a result of the Huawei P20 Lite’s more compact design that is set to eliminate the majority of bezels present on the device, leaving a small bottom one and a notch above the display. Huawei’s pricing of the P20 Lite does appear to reflect the similarities between the two devices, though, with Vodafone set to sell it unlocked for €369 in both Blue and Black.
