It was confirmed recently that the Vivo V9 will launch on March 22, and now the phone got listed on the company's official website in India. The Vivo V9 will first drop in Thailand on March 22, while it will reach India on March 23. Having said that, the Vivo V9 popped up on Vivo India's website, though the listing has been altered a bit since it went up. At first, it offered plenty of detail regarding the handset, and it was listed under its real name, now the listing only says 'testing', shows us one image of the device, and almost no spec info. Luckily, we do have all the info that was provided earlier, so read on if you're interested.
As you can see, the phone will be made out of metal and glass, while its fingerprint scanner will be included on the back. Two cameras will be included on the back of the phone as well, and they will be vertically-aligned. The device will sport thin bezels, and the thicket bezel will be below its display. The display will sport rounded corners, and it's hard not to notice that notch at the top of the display. The phone's physical buttons will be included on the right, while it seems like a 3.5mm headphone jack will be placed on the bottom of the device. The phone will sport a fullHD+ (2280 x 1080) display (6.3-inch panel is rumored), which means we're looking at 19:9 display aspect ratio here. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 626 64-bit octa-core processor, while it will ship with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). The device will come with a dual-SIM setup, though we're not looking at a hybrid dual SIM setup here, you will get a separate microSD card slot in order to expand the device's storage.
Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, with Vivo's Funtouch OS. 16 and 5-megapixel snappers will be included on the back of the phone, while a 24-megapixel shooter will be available on the phone's front side. Facial recognition technology will also be a part of the package, and the same goes for AR stickers. 'Smart Split 3.0' multitasking has also been mentioned by Vivo, while the phone will offer 4K video recording as well. AI Face Beauty camera feature will be available on the device as well, while the phone will arrive in Pearl Black and Gold color variants. All of that info is based on the official info Vivo shared, and the phone is also rumored to sport a 3,260mAh non-removable battery, measure 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm, and weigh 150 grams.
