New Video Highlights OUKITEL WP5000 Is Not Just Another Rugged Phone

Although the OUKITEL WP5000 is another new rugged smartphone it is designed to be a little different to the rest, as this one looks to mitigate against the assumption that a rugged phone has to be a less-capable phone, or for that matter, a less-attractive phone in general. As a result OUKITEL has packed the WP5000 with a decent spec list and a more appealing design overall. To further highlight both of these points the company has now released a new “3D video” for the OUKITEL WP5000.

In terms of the build, the WP5000 is designed to be thin and light compared to other rugged phones, while still managing to maintain a tri-proof level of protection expected from such phones. In other words, while lighter and thinner than competing smartphones it's still as protected against drops, water and dust encounters. Adding to its more modern appearance, the WP5000 also boasts an 18:9 aspect ratio for a taller and slimmer fit. Resulting in the 5.7-inch display adopting a 1440 x 720 resolution. While the body itself - primarily made up of a combination of a molded back cover and metal alloy frame - has gone through a number of processes for a more high-end finish, including sandblasting and polishing. In addition, OUKITEL is looking to offer a more customized look to buyers through the availability of three different color options: Black, Orange and Green.

At the spec level, OUKITEL has created a device that has the potential to perform well due to a baseline spec combination of 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC. Additional premium features include a dual rear camera setup consisting of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. As well as a 5,200 mAh battery which the company reckons can offer up to three days’ of “normal usage.” In either case, the battery does support fast charging with a full charge said to be available in two hours and fifteen minutes. Expandable storage is also included (up to 128GB), as is Android 7.1 (Nougat). Those interested in finding out more about this new rugged phone can do so by heading through the link below.
