A new set of tweets said to reveal a number of details related to Motorola's upcoming Moto E5 line surfaced online earlier this week. The company's upcoming budget lineup has been the subject of numerous leaks, with one of the most recent ones revealing renders of the Moto E5 Plus. Now, however, tipster Andri Yatim has taken to Twitter with a variety of new details about the entire lineup.
Kicking off the new Moto E5 series will be the budget Moto E5 Play, which is said to boast a regular 5.2-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the display will sport a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. In terms of internal details, the Moto E5 Play is listed as having 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while all of that hardware will be coupled with a large 4,000mAh battery. In addition, the device is set to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera that will be coupled with a front-facing 5-megapixel sensor. Launching alongside the E5 Play will be the regular Moto E5. Just like its cheaper sibling, the Android-powered device will boast a 16:9 HD display, although its size has been increased to 5.5 inches. This variant will also have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, but it's worth noting that its battery pack is significantly smaller, having a 3028mAh capacity. Nonetheless, the rear camera will receive a boost in resolution to 16 megapixels, while the front-facing lens will stick to a 5-megapixel resolution. Completing the lineup will be the range-topping Moto E5 Plus which will adopt the popular 18:9 aspect ratio while also upping the size of its display to 5.8 inches and increasing the resolution to 1440 x 720 pixels, according to the source.
Just like the regular Moto E5, Motorola has equipped the Plus variant with 3GB of RAM, but the internal storage will sit at 64GB and the size of the battery is set to increase to 5,000mAh. In terms of imaging capabilities, the rear side of the smartphone will accommodate a 16-megapixel, f/1.75 camera that will be coupled with focus and depth sensors, while the top bezel should feature an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 lens. The Moto E5 Plus is expected to include the Snapdragon 430 in the North American market, while certain variants sold in the rest of the world could feature a MediaTek-made processor.
