Meizu E3's Pricing And Specifications Leak In China

Meizu will announce the Meizu E3 on March 21, and as we’re waiting for that day to arrive, the phone’s specs and pricing just leaked. Now, if this info is to be believed, the phone’s 4GB and 6GB RAM variants will be priced at 1,499 Yuan ($237) and 1,999 Yuan ($316), respectively. A previous rumor suggested that the phone’s 4GB RAM variant will end up costing 1,799 Yuan ($285), so it remains to be seen what info is accurate. It is also worth noting that the phone’s 4GB RAM model will ship with 32GB of storage, while the 6GB RAM variant will arrive with 128GB of native storage.

According to the leaked spec info, the Meizu E3 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor, while the phone will sport a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display. The device will feature Sony’s IMX363 sensor on the back, though the phone will sport a dual camera setup, so we still do not know what other sensor will Meizu end up using. A 3,000mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of this package, according to the source, while the phone will also offer 20W fast charging. That is more or less all the info that was mentioned by the source, but the Meizu E3 did get certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), so we pretty much knew what to expect already. The Meizu E3 will be made out of metal, while it will resemble the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro from the front. The device’s display will sport rounded corners, while the phone’s cameras will be vertically aligned.

Now, TENAA mentioned that the phone will sport a 3,300mAh non-removable battery, not a 3,000mAh unit as the source of today’s rumor suggests. In addition to 32GB and 128GB storage variants, TENAA also mentioned that a 64GB storage model will be available. The device will include 20 and 12-megapixel snappers on its back, while an 8-megapixel camera will be included on the phone’s front side. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the phone, while on top of it you’ll be able to find Meizu’s Flyme OS. The device will weigh 163 grams, if TENAA is to be believed, while it will be 7.6mm thick. This handset will be announced in China on March 21, though chances are Meizu will release it in some additional markets later this year.
