GearBest Deal: Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One Handset For $219.99

The Xiaomi Mi A1 is Xiaomi’s very first, and only Android One handset, and it’s currently discounted on GearBest quite a bit. The Xiaomi Mi A1 can now be purchased for only $219.99, and this is its global variant we’re talking about here. In fact, three color variants of this smartphone currently cost that much, Black, Gold and Rose Gold Xiaomi Mi A1 models. The Red-colored Xiaomi Mi A1 is also listed, but it’s not yet available, in case you had your eye on that variant.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 is a mid-range smartphone, but a rather capable mid-range handset, and you’d hardly guess its specs based on its price point alone. This smartphone, other than coming with a stock version of Android, is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor. The Xiaomi Mi A1 is made out of metal, it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and three capacitive buttons below its display. There are two cameras included on the back of this phone, while its physical keys sit on the right. This handset features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, while a 3,080mAh non-removable battery comes with the device as well. Speaking of which, you will be able to recharge the Mi A1 using 5V/2A fast charging. A 5-megapixel camera is included on the front side of the phone, while two 12-megapixel snappers sit on its back side.

Android 7.1.2 Nougat comes pre-installed on the device, but an update to Android 8.0 Oreo will be available as soon as you fire up the phone, and connect it to Wi-Fi. The Mi A1 also comes with two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and this is a hybrid dual SIM setup we’re looking at here, which means that you’ll be able to use the second SIM card slot in order to expand the device’s internal storage (using a microSD card). The Xiaomi Mi A1 is 7.3mm thick, and it weighs 165 grams.
