Deal: Sonos PLAY:3 Wireless Smart Speaker for $249 – 3/5/18

Amazon currently has the Sonos PLAY:3 available for just $249. That's good for $50 off of its regular price. Now that may not seem like a huge discount, but Sonos products very rarely get discounted, typically only around the holidays. And this also matches the PLAY:3's all-time low price.

The PLAY:3 is Sonos mid-sized speaker in its lineup. It's slightly bigger than the PLAY:1 or the Sonos One, but still smaller than the PLAY:5. It does still output some incredible sound as you might expect. Sonos is pretty good with audio, and you'll be blown away by the audio coming out of this one. Now the difference between the PLAY:3 and other wireless speakers, like say the Harman Kardon Allure, is the fact that it does not use Bluetooth at all. Instead it streams over WiFi, which allows you to stream higher bit-rate audio, which translates into higher quality audio. It's also better for multi-room audio. Of course, since this is a WiFi speaker, you do need to use a service that supports WiFi, and luckily Sonos does support most music streaming services. The PLAY:3 can be synced with other Sonos speakers, like the One, PLAY:1, PLAY:5, PLAYBASE or the PLAYBAR, and really get some surround sound in your living room. It's a great speaker to pick up and at $249, it's hard to go wrong with this one.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap (usually $3.99) next-day shipping if you need it extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $99/year (or $49/year for students). Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
