BLUBOO has just released a promo video for its new handset, the BLUBOO S3. The BLUBOO S3 was shown off at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which took place last month, and we were actually able to get some hands-on time with the device. It is worth noting that not all details are known, when it comes to this phone, but we do have some spec info available, plus the company gives us a really good look at the phone thanks to this newly-released video.
The BLUBOO S3 will sport a dual camera setup on the back, while a fingerprint scanner will sit right below those vertically-aligned cameras. The phone will sport some sort of a pattern on the back, the so-called 'skid-proof texture', though the company did not mention what material it used for the backplate on the device. The BLUBOO S3's frame is made out of metal (zinc alloy), and the company used a CNC process in order to make that design a reality. All the physical keys are placed on the left-hand side of this phone, while a dual-LED, dual-tone flash sits on the back of the phone. Bezels are quite thin on the BLUBOO S3, not to the extent of the Galaxy S9, or something of the sort, but they're close to what the OnePlus 5T had to offer, though the design of the BLUBOO S3 is a bit boxier, even though its corners are rounded. Display corners are also rounded, and the back side of the phone sports curved sides.
In the provided video, BLUBOO also mentioned that those are Samsung's sensors on the back, we're looking at 21 and 5-megapixel cameras here, which feature PDAF. A 13-megapixel shooter will be included on the front side of the phone, while a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display is also included here, with Corning's Gorilla Glass protection on top of it. It is also worth saying that this display has been manufactured by Sharp, in case you were wondering. BLUBOO claims that the BLUBOO S3 sports a 91-percent screen-to-body ratio, and the phone will feature a Type-C USB port on the bottom. You will be able to use the BLUBOO S3 as a power bank as well, as it will sport reverse charging functionality, and it will come with an 8,500mAh battery. The BLUBOO S3 will become available for purchase next month, and it will cost around $150. Now, if you are unwilling to wait for the BLUBOO S3 to arrive, its predecessor, the BLUBOO S1, is currently on sale on AliExpress for $138, and a purchase link is included down below.
