The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S has been leaking for quite some time now, and the newly leaked info confirms the existence of the device, along with some of its details. This information comes from XDA Developers, as XDA's Senior Member, duraaraa, shared the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S' files with the site, and those files basically confirm that the Mi MIX 2S is coming. Not only that, but thanks to the info that was shared, we also know that some of the rumors were accurate, as the Mi MIX 2S will be a flagship-grade smartphone, read on.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is, indeed, code-named 'polaris', as a number of rumors indicated thus far. The leaked firmware also confirms that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845, and that it will ship with a 3,400mAh non-removable battery. That's not all, though, as Android 8.0 Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, which is actually great news, as more or less everyone expected Android Oreo to be installed on it. On top of Android 8.0 Oreo, you will get Xiaomi's MIUI 9 skin, quite probably, and the device will also ship with a fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, which means that it will have an 18:9 display aspect ratio. That is more or less all the info that the firmware files shared, but thanks to some leaked images, and info, we do have a good idea as to what else to expect.
If the leaked render and sketches of the Mi MIX 2S are accurate, the phone will resemble the Mi MIX 2, but it will ship with even thinner bezels. Other than the front-facing camera, which will be included in the top-right corner of the phone's front, the Mi MIX 2S will ship with a bezel-less display. The device will sport a dual camera setup on the back, similar to the one included on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, at least as far as the design is concerned. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is also rumored to include an in-display fingerprint scanner, as the Vivo X20 Plus UD, while the phone will probably be made out of metal and glass, and arrive in a ceramic unibody version as well, just like the Mi MIX 2.
