Google is now offering a rather considerably discount on its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones to "loyal" Nexus owners. The company has started sending out e-mails to former Nexus owners, e-mails which contain a 20 percent discount on the company's Pixel 2 smartphones. Do keep in mind that you will need to purchase the Pixel 2 or the Pixel 2 XL via the Google Store in order to avail this discount.

It is still unknown who exactly qualifies for this deal, do all consumers who purchase a Nexus phone in the past, or only those who purchased more than one Nexus phone. Whatever the case may be, this 20 percent discount is valid on any Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL variant, which essentially means that you can get the Pixel 2 with 64GB of storage for $520, while the Pixel 2 XL with 64GB of storage will set you back $680. Considering the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL regular price points, this discount is definitely worth noting, as it will knock down price points quite a bit, no matter which variant you're planning to get. In order to avail the discount, you need to actually get the e-mail yourself, as you'll need to hit the 'Shop Now' button which is provided inside of it. So, we're not talking about a coupon code here, which you can share with other people, keep that in mind. Another thing worth noting is the fact that you have until February 28 to take advantage of this discount, which is something that is mentioned in the e-mail as well. In case you're wondering what the e-mail looks like, check out the image provided down below.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL share most of their internals, but they look a bit different on the outside. The Pixel 2 is considerably smaller than the Pixel 2 XL, and it sports considerably thicker bezels. Both phones ship with a set of front-facing speakers, while a fingerprint scanner is included on the back side of both phones. Both devices are made out of metal, with a hint of glass on their back sides. You will find 4GB of RAM on the inside of both phones, while 64GB and 128GB storage variants are available. The Pixel 2 sports a 5-inch fullHD AMOLED display, while the Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6-inch QHD+ P-OLED panel. A 12.2-megapixel snapper is included on both devices, while they both ship with Android Oreo out of the box.
