Leak: UMIDIGI One With International LTE Support, iPhone X-Like Glass Back

UMIDIGI has a new phone in the works which is currently going by the "UMIDIGI One" name. While there is little information currently available on this latest phone, some new details have now come through. For instance, it seems highly likely that UMIDIGI plans to position its new One phone as an option accessible to everyone. In other words, this is likely to be an international phone and not one limited to certain markets.

The reason for this is the band support as a source over at UMIDIGI has revealed the new One smartphone will sport no less than 36 global bands including 21 international LTE bands, along with greater 4G support in Europe in general. According to the information coming through, the UMIDIGI One will officially support the following bands: GSM(2G): GSM850/GSM900/DCS1800/PCS1900 / CDMA 1X: BC0/BC1, WCDMA(3G): Band 1/2/4/5/8 / EVDO:BC0/BC1 / TD-SCDMA:B34/39, and LTE-FDD (4G): Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28A/28B / LTE-TDD(4G): Band 34/38/39/40/41. Adding to its global reach, the same source has also confirmed the UMIDIGI One has now gained CE and FCC certifications which highly suggests the UMIDIGI One will also be making its way to the US at some point as well. Speaking of which, the expectation now is the UMIDIGI One will be the first smartphone from the company to enter a number of new markets including the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada, and India.

Band support aside, the same source is also suggesting that the UMIDIGI One will include a back panel that is very similar in look to that found on the iPhone X, including the same glass-based design - as shown in the leaked render above. For those new to the UMIDIGI name, this is a brand that places a good deal of its focus on offering highly competitive devices at highly competitive prices. Take the UMIDIGI S2 Lite for example. This is a phone which not only supports a now-trending 18:9 aspect ratio display, but is also powered by a 5,100 mAh battery. As well as featuring 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, facial recognition, Android 7.0 (Nougat) and more. In terms of the price, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite can currently be picked up for as low as $169.99.
