Elephone U, U Pro Now Available: Free Gift & $20 Saving

The Elephone U and U Pro are both now available to order online. What's more, as part of the launch period, Elephone has teamed up with GearBest to not only offer a discount, but also a free gift. As a result, those who do order soon will be able to save $20 off the expected retail price, as well as also secure a 3D screen protector for their new purchase. When taking the discount into consideration the price of the standard Elephone U smartphone drops down to $349.99 while the Elephone U Pro becomes available for $419.99. Adding to the deal, those who do order will also be able to advantage of additional savings offered by GearBest on various accessories, as well as the option to take part in a draw for free products, including one of five Elephone U smartphones.

As for the phones, the Elephone U and U Pro are not only the latest phones to come from Elephone, but also some of the most high-end. The display is one of the most notable aspects as both devices sport the same 5.99-inch curved OLED flexible display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio, resulting in devices that are slimmer and taller than traditional 16:9 aspect ratio phones. This is, however, only of the on trend features included as both phones also employ a dual rear camera setup, in addition to facial recognition software, and more.

Generally speaking, the Elephone U and the U Pro are more alike than they are different with only a few notable exceptions. For example, the Pro model does feature wireless charging and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC - compared to the MediaTek 6763T processor included on the standard U. Likewise, there is a slight difference in their battery capacities as well as their Android versions - the standard U ships with Android 7.1 (Nougat) while the Pro version has already been upgraded to Android 8.0 (Oreo). Otherwise both U versions come equipped with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, the same two 13-megapixel rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a fingerprint sensor.
