The UMIDIGI S2 Lite is actually identical to the UMIDIGI S2 and UMIDIGI S2 Pro in terms of the design, though the UMIDIGI S2 Lite is also inferior to both of the aforementioned devices in terms of specs, which was to be expected. The UMIDIGI S2 Lite is, however, considerably more affordable than its two siblings, so if you’re looking for something more affordable than either of those, the UMIDIGI S2 LIte may be just right for you. The UMIDIGI S2 Lite is made out of metal, it sports a dual camera setup on the back, where you will also notice its fingerprint scanner. Despite the fact this phone costs only $149.99, it comes with an 18:9 display aspect ratio, though its display sports an HD+ (1440 x 720) resolution. Speaking of which, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite sports a 5.99-inch display, and it comes with a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, says the company. This smartphone also comes with a 5,100mAh non-removable battery on the inside, which should provide plenty of battery life to the device, as the phone has only an HD+ display, and its processor is not a power hog either.
Speaking of the phone’s SoC, this device is equipped with the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core unit. The UMIDIGI S2 Lite packs in 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the device. The UMIDIGI S2 Lite comes with ‘Face ID’ facial recognition as well, and we’re looking at UMIDIGI’s second-gen Face ID software here, which is more advanced than the one utilized by the UMIDIGI S2 and UMIDIGI S2 Pro. The device sports two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), while it comes in Black and Red color variants. 16 and 5-megapixel snappers are placed on the back of the UMIDIGI S2 Lite, while a 5-megapixel shooter can be found on the front side of this smartphone.
