TCL Discounts its 55-inch & 49-inch Roku TV's for Super Bowl LII

TCL has just announced that it is discounting two of its most popular TV sets, the 49S405 and 55S405, which are their 49-inch and 55-inch Roku TV models. Which will be priced at $329 and $369 respectively. These are both great, and inexpensive TV's to pick up and watch the game on. The Super Bowl takes place on February 4th in Minneapolis, where the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles. It's bound to be a big game, and is typically the biggest game of the year, in any sport. So you'll want to watch it on a great TV set.

These TV's from TCL are Roku TV's, which means that Roku is built-in. Making it a great choice for a cord-cutter. The Roku platform already has basically all of the big name apps out there, including, YouTube, Netflix, HBO GO, Hulu, DIRECTV NOW and many more. There are over 500,000 movies and TV Shows available through all of the compatible apps on Roku right now, and there are always more popping up. Since Roku is the biggest player in the set-top box space, many new apps will come to Roku before Android TV, Fire TV and even Apple TV.

As if the addition of Roku wasn't enough, these TV's are also 4K and HDR capable. So you're going to get a really rich picture out of these two TV's. TCL also has a 4K Creative Pro upscaling engine included, so if you are watching content that is 1080p, it'll still look incredible on this panel. There's also a 120Hz refresh rate, which is pretty common among TV's, especially those with 4K resolution but still good to see. And of course dual-band WiFi, with an Ethernet port, so you are able to use a wired connection if you should need it. All of this is bundled in a sleek and thin design, which is going to look great in any entertainment setup. Whether you're a cord-cutter or still using a cable box, these TV's are great options, and might be the push you need to become a cord-cutter. TCL has not mentioned how long these will be on sale, but likely through the Super Bowl which is on February 4th.
