The Sonos One 2-Pack Bundle Drops to $349 on January 26th

Sonos has announced that it'll be discounting its 2-pack of the Sonos One, starting tomorrow. Bringing the price down from $398 for two speakers, to just $349. That's good for $50 off of the regular price. Seeing as a Sonos One would cost you $199 each. This discount is likely a response to the Apple HomePod launching on Friday, which is going to cost $349 for a single speaker. Meanwhile with Sonos, you'll be able to get two speakers for the same price - and what Sonos believes are better sounding speakers.

With this new bundle, you'll be able to bring Alexa everywhere in your home, as well as having some great audio. Sonos One is the Alexa-powered speaker from Sonos, so you are able to ask Alexa to play different music, ask her how the weather is, or to turn off your smart lights, and so much more. Alexa has over 10,000 skills and there are more being added all the time. Now on the audio side of things, Sonos is one of the best speakers in the game. This is primarily because of its multi-room audio features. Allowing you to play the same song in every room in your house without any lag whatsoever. On top of that, the Sonos speakers offer up some incredible sound, with very deep bass while still having strong mids and highs. And if that wasn't enough, Sonos streams music over WiFi instead of Bluetooth - in fact, the Sonos One doesn't even have Bluetooth connectivity. What this means is that you'll get better sounding audio, as the audio is not compressed for the small amount of bandwidth that Bluetooth has, versus WiFi.

The Sonos One is very similar to the PLAY:1 speaker, which recently got a permanent price drop to $149. But the biggest difference here is the fact that Alexa is built-in, instead of being Alexa-compatible. On top of that, the music quality is a bit richer on the Sonos One. And Sonos is planning to bring AirPlay 2 as well as Google Assistant to Sonos One this year. This new bundle with the Sonos One for $349 should be available beginning tomorrow at all of the usual Sonos retailers. Including, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo and many others.
