Report: Lava Red OnePlus 5T To Launch In India On Jan. 26

According to a report by, the Lava Red OnePlus 5T will arrive to India on January 26. This variant of the device was announced in China at the end of November last year, and it’s identical to the regular OnePlus 5T model, but it comes with a different color, of course. Beebom got its info from unnamed sources, so take it with a grain of salt, of course, though the Lava Red OnePlus 5T has been highly-requested in a number of markets, at least judging by comments in OnePlus Forums.

The Lava Red OnePlus 5T combines red and black colors, as you can see in the provided image, its back is red-colored, while its front side sports a regular black color. The source did not mention anything regarding Lava Red OnePlus 5T variants, if the device will launch in 6GB or 8GB RAM variant, though it is possible that both variants become available in India, and it’s even possible that the company ends up offering this variant of the OnePlus 5T in more markets moving forward. Speaking of which, the sandstone OnePlus 5T variant is expected to launch on January 5, so stay tuned for that as well. The Lava Red OnePlus 5T will not sport a special price tag in India, if it becomes official, at least judging by its price tag in China, so for all intents and purposes, this will just be a differently colored OnePlus 5T.

The OnePlus 5T is made out of metal, it sports a dual camera setup on the back, below which you’ll find a fingerprint scanner. The device sports really thin bezels, considerably thinner than the OnePlus 5, and it comes with a 6.01-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, while you will find 20 and 16-megapixel shooters on the back. In addition to a regular RGB lens, the OnePlus 5T comes with a special camera for low light as well. The device also sports a 16-megapixel front-facing snapper, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on the OnePlus 5T, along with the company’s OxygenOS skin. A 3,300mAh non-removable battery is also included here, while you will be able to take advantage of the company’s Dash Charge fast charging technology as well.
