Mophie Intros The Powerstation AC With A 22,000mAh Capacity

mophie announced its newest battery pack in the form of the powerstation AC. This is an upgraded version of the model it announced last year that featured USB-C Power Delivery or USB-C PD. This one not only has a larger capacity but also has an AC outlet included, so you can plug in your laptop or anything else while you're on the go.

The powerstation AC has a 22,000mAh capacity, so it'll charge just about anything. Of course, that is plenty of juice to charge most smartphones at least 6 or more times (depending on the smartphone's battery capacity). And if you're looking to use it to charge a laptop, it can give your MacBook Pro about 15 hours of extra battery life - and the same time applies to other laptops as well. It outputs 100W of power, and where the MacBook Pro does 90W with its included charger, that is plenty of current to keep it charged, even while you're using it. It does also support pass-through charging, and what that means is that you are able to charge the battery pack while having something else like a laptop or the Nintendo Switch plugged in and both will charge simultaneously - of course, the battery will charge slower when this is being done.

The mophie powerstation AC is available for purchase right now through mophie's website, and it's going to cost you $199.95. So it's not a cheap battery pack, but it is definitely worth picking up if you do a lot of traveling. Imagine waiting at the airport and while everyone else is fighting over the last outlet, you have your own outlet for all of your gadgets. That's a pretty good reason to grab one of these. It's available in black and does have a nice fabric exterior which not only looks great, but it feels great in the hand as well. mophie does have a slew of LED lights on the powerstation AC, which is going to allow you to see how much juice you have left. Finally, as far as outlets go, there are three here. A USB-C port which can do both input and output, a USB-A port and then a full AC outlet. So it's simple but still covers all of your needs.
