Roland Quandt has leaked the specifications and press renders of the Alcatel 3V. Alcatel has already unveiled the Alcatel 3V last week in CES 2018, although the tech firm did not provide any details regarding its latest smartphone offering. While the company promised that it will provide more information about its newest mobile device at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Roland Quandt has already released both the press renders and the detailed specifications of the handset.
The leaked specifications state that the Alcatel 3V will be powered by the MT6737 chipset from the Taiwanese semiconductor company MediaTek. The MT6737 SoC is comprised of a quad-core ARM Cortex A53 64-bit CPU running at a maximum frequency of 1.45GHz and the Mali-T720 GPU. According to the leak, the smartphone will include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal flash storage that could be expanded using a microSD card. The leak also claims that the device's dual rear cameras are equipped with one 16-megapixel sensor and one 2-megapixel snapper, while the front-facing selfie shooter is equipped with an 8-megapixel sensor. The press renders show that a fingerprint scanner is located directly below the two rear snappers. The Alcatel 3V is reported to include connectivity features like 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and Category 4 LTE. The leak further states that the device can accept two SIM cards at the same time. The smartphone is also rumored to include a microUSB port for charging and data transfer.
The leak also mentions that the Alcatel 3V will sport a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset will also include a 3,000mAh battery to keep its lights on. Roland Quandt asserts in his tweet that the Alcatel 3V will have a thickness of 8.05 millimeters and a weight of 169 grams. According to the leak, the Alcatel 3V will be priced at around €179, which translates to $219 at the current exchange rate. Aside from the Alcatel 3V, Alcatel also unveiled the Alcatel 5 and the Alcatel 1X during the CES 2018 event. These three new Alcatel smartphone offerings are expected to target a wide range of consumers from the upper mid-range to the entry-level segments of the smartphone market.
