Honor 9 Lite Will Be Announced In India Soon, Teaser Says

Honor India has announced that a new smartphone with four cameras is coming, and based on an image that the company shared on Facebook, it is the Honor 9 Lite. This handset will be announced by the end of this month in the country, and for those of you who do not know, the Honor 9 Lite was originally announced last month in China, and it’s also known as the Honor 9 Youth Edition.

That being said, that very same phone will be announced in India soon, it seems, which means that we probably know its spec sheet, and the same can be said for its design. The Honor 9 Lite is made out of metal and glass, it sports four cameras, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The device comes with rather thin bezels, while the company’s branding is present both on the back of this device, and below its display. The power / lock, volume up and volume down buttons are placed on the right side of the phone, while you will find the device’s SIM card tray on the left. This smartphone sports a 5.65-inch fullHD+ display, 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of expandable native storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). The phone is fueled by the Kirin 659 64-bit octa-core processor, while a 3,000mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package. 13 and 2-megapixel snappers can be found on the back of this phone, while 13 and 2-megapixel cameras lie on the front side of the phone.

The Honor 9 Lite ships with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.0 on top of it. The device also comes with a hybrid dual SIM setup, which means you can use the second SIM card slot in order to expand this phone’s internal storage. The Honor 9 Lite weighs 149 grams, while it is 7.6mm thick. The device was launched in Black, Blue, and Gray color variants in China, and chances are all of those colors will make their way to India as well. The Honor 9 Lite’s pricing starts at 1,199 Yuan ($182) in China, and you can expect this device to be a bit more expensive in India, it will probably cost around $200, though we’re only guessing at this point.
