Yesterday, Sonos announced that it would be dropping the price of its two-pack of Sonos One smart speakers today, bringing it to $349. Ironically the same price of the Apple Homepod that went up for pre-order today. That price for the Sonos One is now available, and is a pretty incredible deal.
The Sonos One launched late last year, as a small refresh on the PLAY:1 (which the company is still selling, but at $149 now). It is mostly the same, on the outside, but the biggest changes are on the inside. It sports better audio, but more importantly, it has Alexa built-in, instead of just being compatible with Alexa. Which basically means that this is an Echo on steroids, when it comes to audio quality. The Sonos One plays music and other media over WiFi instead of Bluetooth, so you are getting better sounding music without the subwoofers and tweeters that are inside the Sonos One. It can also work with the PLAYBAR or PLAYBASE and give you surround sound - which makes the two-pack a great pick up. Now with this deal, you can get Alexa into more of your rooms, which is always good.
Amazon and Sonos.com both have this discount on the Sonos One available already. Keep in mind that this is indeed a limited time thing, so it won't be $349 forever. So if you have been looking for a good deal to pick up two Sonos One speakers, now is definitely the time to jump.
