Best Car Chargers for Android - January 2018

One of the most important accessories for any smartphone owner, is a car charger, as you always want your phone with some juice. These are typically the cheapest accessories and the most universal as well. Seeing as the majority of them use a USB-A port, you can use them for any device, whether it uses a micro USB, USB-C or even a Lightning port. But there are so many options out there, which ones are worth the cash? Well we have rounded up the best car chargers currently available, as of January 2018, and listed them below.

In the list below, you'll find a variety of car chargers, with plenty of Quick Charge 3.0 car chargers. That's an important feature to get, as it is backwards compatible with Quick Charge 2.0 and Quick Charge 1.0, and even conventional charging. So no matter what smartphone you have, it will be compatible in some form. There are also some others that use PowerIQ or AiPower, which is a proprietary charging feature, but it works mostly the same as Quick Charge 3.0. Allowing your smartphone to charge as quickly as it can safely. Which is important, as you don't want your phone to overcharge and explode or die. Now there is a charger in here that is not like the others. And it's from iOttie. It's actually a car dock, but it is a wirelessly charging car dock, so you can charge your smartphone wirelessly while docking it for navigation and such while you are driving. Which is good to see as well.

The majority of the car chargers listed below are under $20, and many of which are under $10. If you are looking for a car charger, and you want one with a flush fit, so it looks like it's built into your car, AUKEY has a few models listed. There's even one with Quick Charge 3.0, and another with two USB-A ports that do 2.4A each. Which is pretty impressive as well. Check out our full list of the best car chargers down below, these will work for all Android smartphones and even other products that you need to charge in the car.

AUKEY Quick Charge 3.0 Car Charger

AUKEY has a great car charger here, which sports Quick Charge 3.0, as well as its own AiPower proprietary quick charging feature. With the Quick Charge 3.0 port, you can charge your smartphone very quickly, and it is also backwards compatible with older versions and even conventional charging. AiPower will charge at up to 2A, and also only charge as fast as your smartphone can handle, safely.

Spigen 30W Quick Charge 3.0 Car Charger

Spigen has a good looking Quick Charge 3.0-compatible car charger here too. There's two ports here, one is a Quick Charge 3.0 port, while the other is a 2.4A port, which is still plenty fast. With Quick Charge 3.0, it is of course backwards compatible, so it can charge your smartphone pretty quickly, even if it doesn't support Quick Charge 3.0.

Anker PowerDrive Speed 2

Unlike the other car chargers on this list, the PowerDrive Speed 2 actually has two Quick Charge 3.0 ports, so you can charge very quickly with either one. But remember that if you are using both ports, it will slow down due to the amount of power it needs, versus what the car can provide. It's also a great looking car charger, with a kevlar coating, and blue-colored ports.

AUKEY Flush Fit Quick Charge 3.0 Car Charger

This car charger is one of the better options, especially for those that want a flush fit, but still want fast charging. This one will sit flush in your car, and it offers a single Quick Charge 3.0 port, so you are able to go ahead and charge up your smartphone pretty quickly, while also making the USB port look like it was built into your car.

Vogek 50W 10A 4-Port USB Car Charger

Just in case two ports isn't enough, this one from Vogek has four ports available for you to use. Meaning that you are able to charge a ton of devices in the car at once. Now it'll do 2.4A each, which is still pretty good, but the more devices you have plugged in, the slower it'll get.

iOttie Easy One Touch Qi Wireless Fast Charge Car Mount

Here's something a bit different, it's the iOttie Easy One Touch Qi Wireless Fast Charge Car Mount. It's a car charger since it does have wireless charging, but it is also a mount, so you can charge your phone while it's mounted for wireless charging and such. Making it a must-have accessory for any driver.

AUKEY Flush Fit Dual Port Car Charger

Here's another flush fit option from AUKEY, this one actually offers up two ports, with 4.8A output. That translates to 2.4A per port, which is about the speed of Quick Charge 2.0. Seeing as a number of smartphones still use Quick Charge 2.0, that is not a bad thing, and still plenty fast. Not to mention, it'll look like this was built into your car.

Anker PowerDrive 2 Elite Car Charger

This one looks very similar to the other Anker car charger we listed above, but the main difference here is that this does not use Quick Charge 3.0 - and is there fore about $6 cheaper. It instead uses Anker's PowerIQ technology, which will intelligently charge your devices as quickly as possible without damaging them - up to 2.4A.

Jelly Comb 54W Quick Charge 3.0 4 Port Rapid USB Car Charger

This is another four port car charger, this time with just one Quick Charge 3.0 port. While the others can do up to 2.4A each. This is going to be a great car charger if you have a lot of people in your car, or need to charge a slew of different things while you're driving, since it does indeed have four ports to be used.

iRAG 36W Dual USB Quick Charge 3.0 Car Charger

iRAG has a dual-port Quick Charge 3.0 car charger here as well. Allowing both the driver and passenger to charge their smartphone pretty quickly while on the road. It's also one of the cheaper dual-port Quick Charge 3.0 car chargers out there right now, coming in at under $10.
