Xiaomi Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus Leak Again With Partial Specs

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have just surfaced yet again along with their partial specs, ahead of their announcement which is set to take place tomorrow in China. The image that just leaked shows off one device next to the other, which lets you see that the Redmi 5 Plus will be somewhat larger than its sibling, and that is something that rumors have been reporting for quite some time now. These two handsets have been leaking for weeks now, so we pretty much know exactly what to expect at this point. In any case, let’s talk more about their design and specs, shall we.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will be made out of metal, these two handsets will ship with rear-facing fingerprint scanners, and displays which will sport slightly rounded corners. The two phones are actually expected to arrive in a number of color variants, and you get a chance to take a look at the black-colored model in the provided image. These two smartphones will sport really thin bezels all around, and they will utilize on-screen navigation keys. A single camera will be placed on the back of each of these smartphones, and the same can be said for their front-facing snapper. Now, on the displays of these two smartphones, you will notice that partial specs are listed, the Redmi 5 will sport a 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and we’re probably looking at an HD+ panel here. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 450, and a 12-megapixel snapper will be included on the back of the device.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, will feature a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio, and this phone will almost certainly ship with a fullHD+ (1920 x 1080) panel. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel the Redmi 5 Plus, and a 12-megapixel snapper will be included on its back. Android Nougat will come pre-installed on both phone, and on top of it, you’ll get Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 OS. Having said that, Xiaomi’s exec already shared official images of these two smartphones, so as far as the design is concerned, there’s nothing left to hide.
