Sprint is already getting into the holiday spirit as it just launched a new offer for Pokémon GO fans, this time giving $100 in PokéCoins to those who sign up for its Sprint Unlimited plans. The carrier had previously teamed up with Niantic to offer PokéStops and Gyms in its stores, and now it’s targeting Pokémon GO fans with more goodies. With the $100 gift from Sprint, Pokémon GO players could get a slew of things in the game, as the sum amounts to 14,500 PokéCoins. That could get trainers up to 3,600 Poké Balls, or a lot of Max Revives, Premium Raid Passes, or Incubators. In turn, the items could help trainers advance more quickly in the game and become more powerful.
The carrier’s offer comes hot on the heels of Niantic’s announcement that Pokémon GO is getting 50 new Pokémon originally found in the Hoenn region of the Pokémon Sapphire and Pokémon Ruby games. The new Pokémon will include Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip, among others. At the same time, Niantic is also introducing dynamic real-world weather changes into the game, which will affect various aspects including gym combat and spawn rates. As the game is getting more exciting, Sprint wants to join in the fun and give trainers some extra incentives.
Sprint is also quick to reiterate that when customers switch to its network, they can get up to five lines of unlimited talk, text, and data, for just $100 per month. The first four lines cost $25 per month and the fifth one is free, with the offer set to expire on January 31st, 2019. This new offer for switchers would allow Pokémon GO trainers to enjoy the game without worrying about data costs, and the $100 worth of PokéCoins should go a long way. To take advantage of Sprint’s new offer for Pokémon GO fans, interested customers will have to head out to a Sprint store and activate a new line of service, then ask a sales representative about the special Pokémon GO gift. Customers should then receive a text message instructing them how to redeem the free gift. Refer to the banner below for more details on all of Sprint’s currently active promotions.
