Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has unveiled its latest smartphone offering, the Huawei Enjoy 7S. The handset sports a 5.65-inch FullView display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160 by 1440 pixels. Due to the slim bezel below the screen, the handset has on-display buttons for navigating through the user interface. On the back of the smartphone, users will find a dual-camera setup and a fingerprint scanner for quickly unlocking the device. The Huawei Enjoy 7S will be available in four color options: Rose Gold, Gold, Black, and Blue.
The Huawei Enjoy 7S is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset, which is comprised of an octa-core ARM Cortex A53 64-bit CPU with a maximum frequency of 2.36GHz and the Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. Two variants of the handset will be available, one of which contains 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash storage, while the other model includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native memory. The storage can be expanded by a microSD card with a capacity of up to 256GB. A hybrid SIM card slot is included with the smartphone and it can accept either two SIM cards or one microSD card and a SIM card. The handset can connect to 4G LTE networks and supports connectivity features like 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. The device also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB 2.0 port for data transfer and charging. The Huawei Enjoy 7S boasts a 3,000mAh battery which isn’t removable.
The dual rear cameras of the Huawei Enjoy 7S entail a 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel one. On the other hand, the front-facing shooter has a single 8-megapixel sensor. The device weighs 143g and measures in at 150.1 x 72.05 x 7.45mm. The handset will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed, with Huawei’s proprietary skin EMUI 8.0 running on top of Google’s operating system. The Android mid-ranger will go on sale on December 22nd, although interested consumers may already pre-order it in China. The variant of the Huawei Enjoy 7S with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash storage is priced at 1499 yuan, which translates to $227 at the current exchange rate, whereas the model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs 1699 yuan ($256).
