While Sonos has officially dropped the regular price of the Sonos PLAY:1 to just $149, Amazon has decided to drop it even further, offering it for just $139. This effectively makes it the lowest price the PLAY:1 has ever seen. It's previous low was $143, so that makes this a great time to pick one up.
The PLAY:1 from Sonos is the company's smallest speaker, but don't call it entry level because it is definitely not an entry level speaker. The PLAY:1 can put out a ton of sound, and it also is pretty compact in size. Which makes it the best of both worlds. The Sonos PLAY:1 does not have Bluetooth, and this is because everything is done over WiFi, which is better as you'll get high-resolution audio out of the PLAY:1 via WiFi versus using Bluetooth. So that the user gets a better experience. On top of that, you won't need to worry about walking out of range of the speaker and it cutting out. So that's always a plus.
