Deal: Roku Streaming Stick (2017) for $39.99 - 12/4/17

Amazon has discounted the Roku Streaming Stick (2017) to just $39.99. That's good for $10 off of its regular price (or about 20%), and it's also the first price drop its received since it launched back in October.

The Roku Streaming Stick packs everything that the Roku set-top boxes have, except for the fact that this does not do 4K or HDR. It does just 1080p, which is going to be fine for most people out there. And since most content is still not in 4K, that's still a good pick up. The Roku Streaming Stick has a number of different apps and games available for it. Of course, all of the big names are here, including Netflix, Hulu, Google Play Movies & TV, Sling, DIRECTV NOW and so much more. Roku touts that there is over 500,000 TV shows available on its platform for you to watch. Roku is also a good platform to get into if you like watching foreign TV and films, as it does have a number of foreign channels that other platforms do not have right now.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap next-day shipping if you need it here extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime by hitting the link below. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $99/year. Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. Remember that if you are looking to pick this up as a gift for someone this holiday season, you'll need to order it by December 18th for non-Prime shipping, and if you are a Prime member, you have until December 22nd, to get it in time for the Holidays. Amazon does also offer extended returns for anything purchased before December 31st, can be returned until January 31st, 2018.
