Deal: ASUS ZenFone AR (6GB/64GB) Unlocked Android Smartphone for $549 - 12/7/17

Amazon has dropped the price of the ZenFone AR from $599 on down to just $549 right now. That's good for $50 off and it is also the first price drop since the phone launched a few short months ago.

The ZenFone AR from ASUS, was announced back at CES in January. It was one of the first smartphones that supported both Google Daydream and Tango (virtual reality and augmented reality) on the same device. It was a pretty big announcement for ASUS, and it launched on Verizon over the summer, with it also being available unlocked. Now the ZenFone AR does have some pretty beefy specs, as you'd expect. Including a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset along with either 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The extra RAM is needed here for VR and AR, which makes the phone run really smoothly. This particular model is a GSM smartphone, so it'll work on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US, but not Verizon or Sprint.

This item is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap next-day shipping if you need it here extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime by hitting the link below. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $99/year. Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits. Remember that if you are looking to pick this up as a gift for someone this holiday season, you'll need to order it by December 18th for non-Prime shipping, and if you are a Prime member, you have until December 22nd, to get it in time for the Holidays. Amazon does also offer extended returns for anything purchased before December 31st, can be returned until January 31st, 2018.
