Amazon's latest Fire TV model, that was announced just a couple of months ago, has finally gotten its first price drop, after Black Friday. The Fire TV typically goes for $69.99, but Amazon has dropped $20 off of the price, bringing it down to just $49.99.
The Amazon Fire TV isn't quite a set-top box, but more of a pendant that hangs from your TV. It's in the middle of a typical HDMI stick and a set-top box, but it's still pretty powerful. The Amazon Fire TV does support both 4K and HDR technologies, so no matter what content you are watching on the Fire TV, you're going to get a great picture. Of course, the Fire TV does have Alexa built-in, so using the microphone button on the remote, you are able to do a variety of things, like asking Alexa to play a movie on Netflix, or asking for the weather and much more. The Fire TV does support many of the more popular apps, like Netflix, Hulu, Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW and many others out there.
This is also eligible for Amazon Prime's free shipping. Which includes free two-day shipping, and pretty cheap next-day shipping if you need it here extra fast. If you are not an Amazon Prime member yet, you can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime by hitting the link below. You'll get 30 days free (if you're a student, you get 6 months), and then it's $99/year. Prime members do get a whole lot more than just free shipping though, so be sure to check out the full benefits.
