AH Reader's Choice: Android Awards 2017 - Vote Now!

The year is almost up and throughout the past year there have been loads of applications, games, and all sorts of mobile devices that have been announced and released, and with all of those devices and all of that content we've come up with what we felt were the best of those things for each category. That said, all those apps, games, and mobile devices, all the wearables, all the smart home technology, are things that you as the readers use too, and we're curious to know what the readers think. There have been lots of great options for best smartphone of the year, and there are just as many options for best wearable of the year, or best smartwatch.

For example, Samsung launched three major phones this year, which includes the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, as well as the Galaxy Note 8. Beyond Samsung other top brands launched some really good devices as well. LG launched the G6 and LG V30, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, and Motorola finally unveiled a new Moto X series device with the Moto X4, and this is in addition to the Moto Z2 Force and the variants in that lineup.

When it comes to smart home technology there are options like the Nest Secure, which is Nest's new home security system that you can place around your home and control it through devices like the Amazon Echo or Google Home, or the ecobee4 or the Nest smart thermostat E which can also be controlled by voice through those same smart speakers, and through the companion app on your smartphone to adjust the temperature. They can also learn your personalized settings and adjust the temperature for you automatically at certain times based on your schedule, but using your voice to adjust things is definitely the easiest way to go about it. Speaking of which, Google Home and the Amazon Echo are smart home products themselves and in many ways can serve as a centralized item that helps you interact with all of your other smart home items. Whatever you were into most this year, whether it was hardware or software, there were lots of options for stuff that launched. That said, not all of them can be the best of the year, so make sure to vote below for which items were your favorites in each category.
