RHA Launches New MA650 'Designed For Android' Headphones

RHA has announced a number of new headphones over the last few months including a wireless version of the MA650 during IFA 2017. Following which, RHA has today announced a new version of the RHA MA650 designed with Android users in mind. These are the MA650a and are now available to buy online. In terms of the price, these headphones are designed to be an affordable option although the price does differ slightly depending on where the buyers is. Those based in the UK can expect to pay £49.95, while buyers in Europe will be liable for €59.95, and those in the US can pick these headphones up for $59.95.

One of the key selling points with the RHA MA650 is that these headphones are designed to work specifically with Android devices. While these are wired headphones, the cable is where most of the Android functionality comes into play. As well as sporting a 3.5mm jack plug, the RHA MA650a also come with a control unit which is fully compatible with digital assistants. So not only does the control panel acts as a more convenient means of adjusting the volume, playing/pausing/skipping tracks, but the included microphone acts as the main Assistant-related control. In addition to providing support for hands-free calling as well. According to RHA, the included mic is capable of controlling the volume through an Assistant, as well as performing web searches and dictating text. As these are Android-wide compatible headphones, they are not specifically designed for Google Assistant and should work just as well with any Android-based digital Assistant.

Assistant-support aside, the RHA MA650 line in general are headphones designed to perform as these headphones make use of a 380.1 custom dynamic driver which the company states is capable of performing across the frequency board and is in particular capable of delivering at the lower end. The listening experience is also said to be heightened due to the company’s ‘Aerophonic’ design which looks “to channel sound to the listener.” The general build quality is made up of high-grade 6063 aluminium coupled with a woven-style cable. Of course, while these are designed to work with Android, due to their 3.5mm connection, they are also usable with any device sporting a 3.5mm port, including laptops and tablets. Although those powered by Android and boosting Assistant capabilities will see a return in the number and quality of the features on offer. In either case, the RHA MA650a headphones are now available to buy directly from RHA's official store.
