Razer Has Lined Up Multiple Partnerships For Its Phone

Razer has lined up multiple partnerships for its phone to make a big splash in the mobile gaming market. Following in the footsteps of its other products which tout the mantra "For Gamers by Gamers," Razer's new phone, appropriately dubbed The Razer Phone, is banking big on gaming-focused features for the hardware and software, but the partnerships are another piece of the pie as they'll seek to show consumers who buy the device what all those hardware and software optimizations can do.

During its announcement and live stream event earlier this afternoon Razer already announced a few partnerships that it will be bringing to the table alongside the launch of this phone, including a partnership with Square Enix for an unlocked frame rate version of Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, as well as a partnership with Tencent for Arena Valor, and a partnership with Bandai Namco for the upcoming Tekken mobile fighting game that's due to hit the Play Store in the near future.

Among the above-listed partnerships which were mentioned during the live stream event, there are other mobile gaming publishers which Razer is working with to special, optimized versions of games launched specifically for the Razer Phone. Games like Lineage 2: Revolution from Netmarble will be making its way to the Razer phone in an optimized format, letting mobile gamers experience the game like never before. Gear.Club, Runescape, and Old School Runescape are also on board, as is World of Tanks Blitz, Titanfall: Assault, and even the upcoming Shadowgun Legends from Madfinger games, which is supposed to be similar to the likes of Destiny and Destiny 2 in terms of gameplay and game type. While this is a fairly decent-sized list for gaming partnerships for the launch, Razer said during its announcement that more would be on the way in the future and that it would continually be looking to expand its partnership list so that it could offer optimized versions of tons more of the top Android games. In addition to offering the world's first UltraMotion 120Hz display on a smartphone, the expansion of the Razer Phone's gaming partnerships will allow it to continue introducing the best versions of the most popular mobile titles.
