Elephone is a China-based company which had released a number of interesting smartphones in the next couple of years, and the Elephone S9 will belong in that category as well, it seems. The Elephone S9 is the company's upcoming flagship, which will follow in the Elephone S7's and S8's footsteps. The Elephone S9 will be somewhat different than its two predecessors, it seems, read on.
The Elephone S7 was inspired by the Galaxy S7, its design resembled Samsung's 2016 flagship quite a bit, while the Elephone S8's design was inspired by the Xiaomi Mi MIX. Having said that, we still do not know what will the Elephone S9 look like, but our source confirmed that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is one of Qualcomm's best mid-range chips. This is actually quite surprising, as we were expecting one of MediaTek's processors to fuel the Elephone S9, as the Helio X20 fueled the Elephone S7, and the Helio X25 came with the Elephone S8. That's not all, though, our source also confirmed that the Elephone logo on the back will actually serve as an LED notification light, while is rather interesting. You can actually see this in action, by taking a look one of the two images down below. Many consumers would probably prefer this LED light to be included on the front side of the phone, but considering how large will it be, it may be worth flipping your phone around and waiting for the LED light to go on, just to find out that you've received a notification.
Our source also claims that using the Elephone S9 will feel like you're using a flagship smartphone, which means we're promised to get a premium feel out of the phone. Now, probably the most interesting part of all the information that we've received is the fact that the Elephone S9 will ship with a flexible display, and even though our source did not confirm it will be an AMOLED panel, some sources are suggesting it will be. As already mentioned, we really do not know what will the phone look like exactly, but the two images down below do show off the phone's back side, and as you can see, the device will sport two cameras on the back, while a fingerprint scanner will be placed below them. One of the two images also shows the phone's flexible display. We still do not know when will the Elephone S9 arrive, but we'll keep you posted, as always.
