DIRECTV NOW has launched a new promotion to get users to check out their service, or even cut the cord and use DIRECTV NOW for live TV. If you prepay for one month of service from DIRECTV NOW, you will get a free Roku Streaming Stick, which DIRECTV NOW is valuing at $49.99. Which means it is the regular streaming stick and not the "plus" model that does 4K, but that's still plenty fine since most content is still not in 4K anyways.
For those that might not be aware of DIRECTV NOW, it's AT&T's streaming live TV service on its DIRECTV brand. It launched last year, and has basically the most channels out of all of the streaming live TV services out there. With DIRECTV NOW, you can watch TV anywhere, whether that is on your smartphone, your tablet, your TV or even on your computer. There are over 120 channels available, and DIRECTV NOW does have different packages available. Ranging from $35/month all the way up to $70/month. Additionally, there are premium channels available, including HBO for $5/month which is actually cheaper than any other provider as well, since everyone else offers HBO for either $10 or $15/month. SHOWTIME and others are available. Now not all of the local channels are available in all areas, but there are plenty of them available, including regional sports networks. So you'll need to check for your area using your zip code.
The way this works is you sign up for DIRECTV NOW and pay for one month of service. This means that you cannot do the 30 day free trial, you have to pay right away. Prices for DIRECTV NOW start at $35/month, so that you can pay for one month and get a $50 Roku stick, which is a pretty good deal. After you've signed up, DIRECTV NOW will send out your Roku Streaming Stick within a couple of weeks, typically before your month is up. After which you can cancel the service and keep your Roku Streaming Stick, whcih is a pretty sweet deal. This promotion is going to be ongoing through the end of the year.
