UHANS' First IP68 Certified Phone Coming To AsiaWorld-Expo

The UHANS K01 is the company’s first smartphone which comes with IP68 certification, and the company has just announced that the phone will be featured at the AsiaWorld-Expo. The phone will be on display at the AsiaWorld Expo starting on October 18, and you’ll be able to check it out until October 21 (Booth 5H08). The UHANS K01 is the starter of the company’s ‘KingKong’ series of smartphones, and this is actually a rugged phone, so an IP68 certification is not exactly a surprise. Now, in terms of the design, the UHANS K01 does look like a rugged phone, but it’s not ugly by any means. The handset sports a set of capacitive keys below the display, and it also comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

The UHANS K01 comes with a rather beefy, 5,000mAh battery, which is not removable, but you are getting fast charging here (5V/2A). UHANS did not reveal what size will the display of this phone be, but we do know that it will be fueled by the MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor. The device will also pack in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. A 13-megapixel shooter will be included on the back of the UHANS K01, while a 5-megapixel selfie shooter is also a part of this package. Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection will be applied on top of the phone’s display, though we don’t know which version exactly. Android 7.0 Nougat will be pre-installed on the UHANS K01, and we’re looking at a rather clean version of Android here, in case you were wondering.

The company has also announced that you’ll be able to try out other UHANS-branded smartphones at the AsiaWorld-Expo starting on October 18, the company show off the UHANS i8, Max 2, MX, Mix 2… and a number of other smartphones, all you have to do is visit the company at Booth 5H08, if you’re nearby. For those of you who are unaware as to what AsiaWorld-Expo is, that is one of the two major conventions in Hong Kong, it’s mostly tech-oriented, but you can find various products there. The first AsiaWorld-Expo was hosted back in 2015, and this year’s exhibition starts on October 11, though the mobile-orientated companies will show off its products from October 18 to October 21, as per the schedule.
